This can lead to unwanted tripping of circuit protective devices and in some extreme cases can lead to malfunction or even complete failure and destruction of sensitive electronic equipment. This can be especially found in the marine and offshore industry where the electrical supply is produced from generators which have high impedance. Large variable speed drive systems including:
